Member Name Change Information and Rules

The basic rule when it comes to requesting a name change is that if you have PWNAGE you are entitled, with the occasional exception for members that have been around for a long duration but don't post frequently enough to be eligible for PWNAGE. Contact me for more information regarding this.

One of the reason for this thread is because recently there has been a big influx of name change requests with an additional request following short after by the same member. Don't get me wrong we don't mind following up on these requests we just want to ensure that the new name you ask for is the one you are certain you want. Plus there are no set guidelines for name change requests in general, so here they are.

Name change rules and guidelines

• PWNAGE members or members with over 5000 kudos are eligible for a name change request or
 • A long term productive (a member that follows the MMGN TOS) member that has been around for at least 3 years and has a minimum of 2000 kudos.
• One name change per year. This may seem like a long time but you don't need to change your name as much as P diddy..
• 10 character maximum for requested names. We are aware that some people have longer than 10 character names already we are just putting a stop to it.
• If a name has been taken by a non active member that non active account has to be at least 3 years old, less than 10 kudos with no activity since then.
• Name changes will only be granted to those that have not been banned in the past 6 months.
• Once a member has changed their username their old username can not be used by another member at least 3 years.
 • A member can not request a username change if they have been banned for duration of more than 24 hours in the past 6 months.
